"Conventional dictionaries are, by and large collections of lemmas represented by their stem forms, which appear as boldface entries in an alphabetical order.Their inflected forms are given when the formation involves irregularity or a spelling change, but the inflections are generally not listed when regular. The concept of a word, as we have become used to it from the dictionary structure, is thus closer to that of a lemma than that of a word."
